4 remanded over coronavirus treatment products seizure

A Dhaka court has placed four people on remand for a day each in a case filed over seizing huge materials of coronavirus treatment which was illegally stock and selling with higher price.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Shikder passed the order on Friday after police produced them before a court in a case filed under the special act.

The accused who were remanded were known as Anowar Hossain, Amit Bosak, Shoaib and Shuvo.

They were arrested in a drive at the office of ABC Corporation at Zahura Tower in the capital’s Banglamotor area on Thursday night.

During the operation, law enforcers seized 275 coronavirus testing kits, 9,050 pieces of normal masks, 100 pieces of N95 masks, 198 PPEs, 960 pairs of hand gloves, 250 pairs of optics, 900 pieces of caps and 1440 shoe covers from their possession.
