4,347 cops test positive for coronavirus

At least 667 members of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) have tested positive for the coronavirus, CNN reported Saturday (April 18).

The number includes firefighters, emergency medical services members and civilian employees.

There are more than 2,200 members of the FDNY on medical leave, CNN reported. That number also includes non-coronavirus ailments.

The New York Police Department said that 4,347 members have tested positive for the virus, CNN reported. That includes 3,350 uniformed officers and 730 civilian employees, the New York Post reported.
