The Public Service Commission (PSC) is considering issuing another circular of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations at a time when a good number of job seekers, whose age for the entry into the government jobs is expiring, have been holding various programmes demanding an increase in the age limit.
Recruitment tests have remained suspended for about one and a half years due to the coronavirus pandemic. As a result of this, many of job seekers are in disappointment for not ensuring a government job within their 30 years as they are about to cross the present age limit (30 years) set by the government.
Considering their situation, Md Sohrab Hossain, chairman of the Public Service Commission, said, “The circular of 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations may be published in the upcoming October but the issuance of the circular depends on the demand they will receive from the public administration ministry.”
