4,951 mosques get PM’s financial aid in Bogura

A sum of Taka 2.49 crore, offered by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been distributed among 4,951 mosques in 12 upazilas of Bogura district.

Deputy Commissioner Fayez Ahmed inaugurated the cheques among Imams, Muezzins at Sariakandi upazila on Saturday (May 23). Each of the mosques got Taka 5,000 to meet their daily expenses in the wake of coronavirus crisis.

Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Abdur Razzak said, cheques have been distributed among listed Imams, Muezzins.

Meanwhile, Sharees and Three-piece were also distributed among the poor section of people.

Sariakandi upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Md Rasel Mia, upazila chairman Munzil Ali Sarkar, upazila parishad vice-chairman Abu Ali Tarafdar and others attended the function.
