5 held while trying to flee leaving dead body

Staff Correspondent: Police detained five people when they tried to flee after leaving a dead body in hospital early Friday.

The detainees’ are- Al-Amin, 19, Rimon, 20, Laizu, 25, Rimon, 18 and Azizur, 25.

Saidur Rahman, Sub-Inspector of Gazipur Metro Police Sadar police station said, couple of youths took a victim named Asedul Rony, 35, to Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital around 12:00am. Hearing the dead news of Rony, the youths tried to flee the spot. Meanwhile, Ansar members caught two of them. Later, police arrested three more.

Injury marks were seen in the victim’s body, SI added.

Pranay Bhushan Das, residential doctor of the hospital said, the victim was taken to hospital in dead condition.
