At least five people including two children have been killed in separate two road accidents in Sirajganj and Cumilla.
In Sirajganj, two people including a child were killed in a road accident in Konagati area of Sirajganj sadar upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased could not be identified immediately. In Cumilla district, three people including a child have been killed and five other injured as the gas cylinder of a microbus exploded early Sunday.
The incident took place around 5.30am on Chattogram-Dhaka highway in Gobindapur area of Chandina upazila.
Only the child is identified as Robza, 7, daughter of Mokbul Hossain, in Ashoktola area of Cumilla.
According to sources, the gas cylinder of the microbus went off after being hit by a bus first and then by a truck, leaving three of its passenger dead on the spot and five injured.
The injured were rushed to Chandina Upazila Health Complex and then to Comilla Medical College Hospital from where they were referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated, sources said.
