5 more deaths, 688 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

Five more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 182 in the country.

Besides, 688 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 10,143.

Prof Dr  Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation on Monday (May 4).

“We've carried out tests on 6,260 samples collected from across the country and 688 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 10,143,” she said.
