50-100 bed hospital ready in every district town: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said a 50 to100 bed hospital is prepared in every district town for Covid 19 treatment.

The Minister said while addressing online briefing on Wednesday.

He said, “We have been able to run 20 laboratories for coronavirus test across the country. All the lab are testing covid 19.”

“Many people are avoiding coronavirus test. This is a major crisis. As a result, an infected person who conceals information is spreading the virus to family members and doctors. So, try to keep yourself and others safe,” he urged people.

The Minister said, “Number of coronavirus infected people has been gearing up day by day. A 15000 bed hospital is being prepared at the captial’s Bashundhara Convention Centre for treatment of Covid 19. It will be ready within some days.”

“Besides, a hospital of 1300 bed at Dhaka North City Corporation while another of 1200 bed at four multi-storey building at Diabari are being prepared for the treatment,” the minister added.
