5000 in quarantine across country: Health minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said around 5,000 people have been kept in quarantine across the country to contain the risk of spreading coronavirus (COVID-19).

The health minister disclosed the figure while addressing a press briefing at the secretariat on Thursday (March 19).

“Health check-up of those in quarantine have been done. Results will come out within two or three days,” Maleque said.

“Around 5000 people are currently in quarantine across the country to prevent the spread of the virus,” he said.
