63mm rainfall recorded in capital

Heavy rains caused havoc on citizens as many areas of Dhaka went underwater on Monday morning.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department Meteorologist Omor Faruk told risingbd that about 63mm of rain was recorded in Dhaka from 6.00am to 9.00am on Monday.

There is a chance of heavy rain today across the country including the capital Dhaka, he also said.

Many areas were inundated and made it extremely difficult for city-dwellers to commute.

Many people were seen wading through the water to reach their destinations.
