They are Nazmul Abedin Fahim, Fahim Sinha, Md. Saiful Alam Swapan Chowdhury, Mahbub ul Alam, Iftekhar Rahman Mithu, Kazi Inam Ahmed, Md. Manjur Alam and Md. Salahuddin Chowdhury.
Only Director Akram Khan did not express no-confidence against him.
The eight directors have expressed no-confidence against Faruque, accusing him of autocratic behavior, corruption and disrupting cricket activities.
Even if Faruque does not resign, he will not be able to remain in the BCB. According to the constitution, his directorship will be canceled.
On Thursday (May 29) afternoon, Faruque Ahmed confirmed to risingbd over mobile phone, “I will not resign, there is no reason. No one can show any reason.”
After the change of power on August 5 last year, the National Sports Council appointed Faruque Ahmed and Nazmul Abedin Fahim as directors for the BCB. Later, Faruque was appointed as the BCB president.
Faruque Ahmed met with Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain yesterday night.
The sports adviser has conveyed to him that the government is considering changes in the top positions of the BCB.
