8 jhut warehouses gutted in fire

Eight warehouses of jhut (waste fabric from woven and knit garments) have been gutted in a fire in Ambag area of Konabari under Gazipur City Corporation.

The fire originated around 3.00am on Thursday.

According to Fire Service and Civil Defense, the fire originated at a warehouse and spread rapidly to other warehouses. On information, three firefighting units rushed to the spot more and doused the fire with an effort of two and half hours.

The cause of the fire could not be known yet.
