80 onion-laden trucks start entering Bangladesh

Some 70-80 onion-laden trucks stranded at Ghojadanga Land Port of India for the last seven days have started coming to Bangladesh through Bhomra Land Port of Satkhira.

The onion-laden trucks started entering Bangladesh around 2:00pm on Saturday.

Mostafizur Rahman Nasim, general secretary of Bhomra Land Port C and F agent Association said, the onion-laden trucks were waiting to enter Bangladesh during the Indian ban on September 29. The trucks started to coming today after written approval of the authorities of the two nations.

Bikash Chandra Debnath, Revenue Officer of Bhomra Customs Station confirmed the matter.
