ACC director’s wife burnt

Senior Correspondent: Wife of Mohammad Yusuf, director of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), was admitted to a hospital after she was burnt in a fire that originated at their Uttara residence in the capital on Wednesday evening.

The name of the woman could not be known yet.

A source at the fire service headquarters said on Thursday morning that the fire originated on the second floor of a six-storey building in the capital’s Uttara area yesterday evening, leaving the woman burnt.

The woman was later admitted to a hospital, the source said.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, it added.
