ACC files case against DIG Partha Gopal

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against deputy inspector general (prisons) of Sylhet division after recovering Tk 80 lakh from his residence in Dhaka.

ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter on Monday.

Dhaka District Office-1 ACC Assistant Director Salauddin Ahmed filed the case against Partha Gopal Banik with the commission.

Earlier, ACC secretary Muhammad Dilwar Bakht said that the watchdog did not find any legal source of the recovered money.  

On Sunday afternoon, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) recovered Tk 80 lakh from Partha Gopal Banik’s Dhanmondi residence in Dhaka.
