ACC summons Mahi B Chy

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned Bikalpahara Bangladesh (BDB) Joint Secretary General Mahi B Chowdhury and his wife on charge of money laundering.

A notice was sent to Mahi B Chowdhury’s Gulshan Baridhara (Road no 12. House 19) address on Sunday.

Jalal Uddin Ahmed, deputy director of the watchdog also investigation officer signed the letter asking them to appear before the ACC at 10:00am on August 7.

ACC sources confirmed the matter.

According to the sources, the anti-graft body launched investigation against Mahi B Chowdhury and his wife Ashfa Haque Lopa in June of this year. They allegedly laundered money to the United States and amassed money known sources of income.
