AK Khandaker has written true history: Fakhrul

Staff Correspondent: BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that through the book ‘1971: Ins and Outs, AK Khandaker has written the true history of war of liberation.

The BNP spokesperson made the comment while speaking at  a doa and milad mahfil marking the death anniversary of former Finance Minister Saifur Rahman at the party’s Nayapaltan office in the capital on Friday morning.

Air Vice Marshal (retd) Khandaker, the deputy chief of army during the war, also served as the planning minister during the Awami League’s previous tenure. But he did not seek nomination in the January 5 election.

The book ‘1971: Ins and Outs’ published by Prothoma and launched Tuesday, says Bangabandhu at the end of his historic March 7, 1971 speech had uttered ‘Joy Pakistan’ after ‘Joy Bangla.’
