Abrar murder: Hearing on charge framing Feb 17

A Dhaka court has fixed February 17 the hearing on charge farming in the case filed over death of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayes fixed the date on Thursday.

22 accused were produced before the court on the day.

Abrar, a second-year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department of BUET, died after he was allegedly beaten by some Chhatra League men brutally at a dormitory of the university.

The incident triggered a firestorm of protests on campuses across the country. Many took to social media to demand justice for Abrar.
