Abrar’s death: Legal notice seeking Tk 10cr compensation

A legal notice has been sent seeking Tk 10 crore compensation for the family of Nayeemul Abrar, who was electrocuted at Dhaka Residential Model School & College.

Former student Obaed Ahmed’s Supreme Court lawyer Faizullah Faez sent the legal notice on Sunday.

Responders of the legal notice are Prothom Alo publisher and editor, Kishor Alo editor, secretary of the Information Ministry, secretary of the Education Ministry and secretary of the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.

Nayeemul Abrar, 15, a nonresident student of class nine, was electrocuted from a power generator during a function of Kishor Alo, a magazine of the daily Prothom Alo, at the institution on Friday afternoon.

The students of the institution claimed that Abrar died due to negligence of the organizers.
