Actress Moushumi resigns

Entertainment Desk: Noted film and TV actress Moushumi has stepped down from her post of executive council member of Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti.

She submitted her resignation letter in person to Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti office on Monday.

Her husband Omar Sunny accompanied her at that time.

Saimon Sadik, executive council member of the Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti, confirmed the news to risingbd.

He said, "Moushumi did not take oath after she won the election. She also did not attend our meeting. For this, we served her a letter. As a sequel to that, she officially resigned from her post."

"She mentioned personal grounds for her resignation," he added.

Moushumi won the election from Omar Sunny-Amit Hasan panel held on May 5 this year.

However, many of the panel including Omar Sunny-Amit Hasan lost the polls.
