Another accused held in Rifat murder case

Barguna Correspondent: Police arrested Ratul Shikdar, another accused in the sensational Rifat murder case, on Wednesday night.

Police confirmed the matter to media on Thursday noon.

Barguna police station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Nazrul Islam told risingbd that checking the CCTV footage, police arrested Ratul. However, he did not disclose details regarding the issue for the sake of investigation.

So far 11 accused were shown arrested in the murder case. Besides, couple of more accused were arrested for interrogation, said a reliable police source.

On June 26 morning, miscreants attacked 25-year-old Rifat Sharif with sharp weapons in front of Barguna Government College when Rifat and his wife Ayesha Siddika Minni were leaving the college premises. Later, Rifat Sharif died under treatment in Barishal Sher-e-Bangla medical college hospital.
