Another physician dies of coronavirus in Bangladesh

Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital Chief Hematologist and Laboratory Medicine Specialist Professor Col. (Retd.) Md. Moniruzzaman has died of novel coronavirus infection.

He passed away at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Sunday afternoon.

Director of Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital Prof. Dr. Eshtehamul Haque said Md. Moniruzzaman was taken to CMH after he fell sick on Sunday afternoon where he was declared dead.

Several physicians of hematology department have been sent to quarantine.

Earlier, Dr Md Moyeen Uddin, an assistant professor of Medicine at the Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, died of Covid-19 on April 15.
