Appeal to file sedition case against Priya Saha

Staff Correspondent: An appeal has been made to file a sedition case against Priya Saha for telling lies to US President Donald Trump in a meeting at the White House in Washington, DC.

Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Sayedul Haque Suman filed the plea before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate on Sunday.

Besides, Md Ibrahim Khalil, executive committee member of the Dhaka Bar Association made another appeal to file case at the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Mohammad Noman. The hearing will be held soon in this regard.

Priya Saha works in a Bangladeshi NGO. On July 16, she met US president Donald Trump and said that 37 million people of minority groups disappeared in Bangladesh.
