Areas from where 21 people died of coronavirus

21 more people have died of pandemic coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths in the country to 522.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Tuesday (May 26).

Of the 21 people killed by the deadly virus, three died in Dhaka city and seven in Dhaka district, four in Chattogram and Cumilla districts (two in each district), one in Munshiganj, Narsingdi, Manikganj, Gazipur, Cox’s Bazar, Pirojpur and Jhalokathi districts each, she said.

On the other hand, 1,166 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 36,751.
