Areas where 22 people die of coronavirus

22 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths in the country to 408.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in the capital on Thursday.

Of the 22 people died of the virus, 10 died in Dhaka division while 8 in Chattogram division, 3 in Sylhet and one in Mymensingh.

Of the 10 in Dhaka division, eight are from Dhaka city while one from Dhaka district and Narayanganj each.

Of the eight in Chattogram division, four are from the city, one from Cox’s Bazar and three from Chandpur.

In Mymensingh, one died of the deadly virus in the city town.

Of the three in Sylhet division, one died in Sylhet city while two passed away in two other districts.

Besides, 1,773 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 28,511.
