Ashraful, Dhaka Gladiators owner guilty in BPL match-fixing

Sports Correspondent, DHAKA, Feb 26: Mohammad Ashraful, owner of Dhaka Gladiators Shihab Chowdhury were found guilty in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match fixing allegations.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Tribunal made the disclosers after careful and detailed deliberation and consideration of the evidence.
Players Mosharraf Hossain (Rubel), Mahbabul Alam (Robin), Darren Stevens and Gladiators officials Salim Chowdhury, Gaurav Rawat and Mohammad Rafique have been cleared of all fixing charges.
“Shihab Jishan Chowdhury having been found guilty of the Art. 2.1.1 charge against him for being a party to an effort to fix the Chittagong match (February 2) shall attend before the Tribunal on a date to be fixed for the hearing on sanctions and costs either in person or with his legal representative, the BCB Tribunal said in a press release.
The Provisional Suspension imposed upon each of Mosharraf Hossain Rubel and Mahbubul Alam Robin is lifted with immediate effect, the press release added.
On August 14, 2013 the ICC charged nine individuals with fixing activity and related offences. The charges related to spot and match fixing by players and officials of Dhaka Gladiators.
