BCL leader Riyad suspended

Chhatra League leader Shahidul Islam Khan Riyad, the vice president of Dhaka South Chhatra League, has been suspended.

A press release signed by Chhatra League Central Committee President Al Nahian Khan Joy and General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee confirmed the matter on Monday.

According to the press release, vice president of Dhaka South Chhatra League Shahidul Islam Khan Riyad has been suspended for breaching organisational discipline.

There was an allegation that Riyad assaulted some journalists in capital while they were performing professional duties during the Dhaka city corporation elections on February 1.
