Sports Correspondent, DHAKA, Jan 8: The National Selection Panel of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has selected 20 players for the each participating team of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) 2013-14.
BCL, the franchisee-based first class tournament, is going to start on January 12.
The first two rounds of the four-team competition will be held at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) before the breaks for Sri Lanka’s Tour of Bangladesh, the Asia Cup and the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014.
The National Selection Panel on Wednesday selected 20 players for each participating team in a meeting with the representatives of the teams.
BCB Game Development Chairman Khaled Mahmud Sujan, Defending champion Walton Central Zone chief co-coordinator Uday Hakim, also the operative director of Walton’s creative and publication department, were among other present in the meeting.
The teams will determine their final 15-man squad from the following pool of players:
Walton Central Zone
Shamsur Rahman, Abdul Majid, Rokibul Hassan, Mahmud Ullah, Shahriar Nafees, Rony Talakder, Mehrab Hossain Jr, Nurul Hasan, Mohammad Elias, Arafat Sunny, Md Sharifullah, Dewan Sabbir, Shahadat Hossain, Mohammad Sharif, Md. Shoaid, Tarek Aziz, Marshal Ayub, Saikat Ali, Sahagir Hossain and Talha Jubair.
BCB North Zone
