BSTI cancels licences of 13 companies

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), has revoked licences of 13 companies.

The BSTI on Monday revealed this through issuing a press release signed by its Director Sazzadul Bari.

The Certification Marks (CM) licenses of 13 products were canceled as the standards of those goods found substandard in BSTI lab tests.

According to the press release, these 13 companies will be allowed to publish any kind of advertisement.

The products stripped off CM licences are—Farm Fresh Ghee of Akij Food & Beverage Limited, Shakti and Kitchen Fortified soybean oil of Shakti Edible Private Limited, Safe Fortified soybean oil of AK Khan Food & Beverage,
Camel brand Iodised salt of Bismillah Salt Factory, Nazrul brand Iodised salt of Janata Salt Mill, Madina brand Laccha Semai of JK Food Products, Modern Skin Cream of Modern Cosmetics and Herbal Industries Ltd., GM Skin Care Cream of GM Chemical Works, Arabian special Ghee of New Chattala (Pvt.) Ltd., Reven Laccha Semai of Reven Food Company Ltd., Laccha Semai, Khazana Ghee and Chanachur of Khazana Mithai Ltd., Promi Turmeric powder of Promi Agro Food Ltd, Ifad Iodised salt of Ifad salt and Chemical Ltd.
