BNP leader Saiful Alam arrested

Former president of Jatoyatabadi Jubo Dal, also member of the Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Saiful Alam Nirob has been arrested, police said.

Mazharul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tejgaon Industrial area Police Station of the capital, confirmed the matter on Saturday (February 4) night.

He said, “After the pre-schedule march of BNP observed on Saturday, Saiful Alam and his supporters made attack and threw brickbats on police in front of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). From there, he was arrested.”

Police said seven arrest warrant were issued against Saiful Alam Nirob. He may be shown arrested in these cases.
