Bangladesh crossed 150 runs after losing two wickets at their lone Test match against Zimbabwe being played at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla national cricket stadium.

The Tigers are batting in reply to 265 runs scored by Zimbabwe in their first innings.

Winning the toss yesterday, Zimbabwe opted to bat first in their first innings and scored 228 for 6 at the end of Day 1. Starting Day 2 today, they managed to add 37 runs to 228 before losing all of their wicket, bringing the total score to 265.

Bangladesh spinner Nayeem Hasan earlier picked four wickets conceding 70 runs in 38 overs while pacer Abu Jayed Rahi also took four wickets conceding 71 runs.

Zimbabwe started the day on 228-6 and it was Rahi who struck first in the morning. Donald Tiripano edged a delivery from Rahi and Liton Das duly obliged to reduce Zimbabwe to 240-7.

Rahi struck again in his next over to send Ainsley Ndlovu back for a duck and Taijul sent Charlton Tshuma to reduce Zimbabwe to 245-9.

Taijul picked up the last wicket as Regis Chakabva top-edged an attempted sweep and was caught by Nayeem for 30.

Zimbabwe skipper Craig Ervine was the top scorer with 107 runs.
