Bangladesh U-16 women’s football team will take on host Thailand on Sunday (September 15) in their first match of the final round of the AFC U-16 Women's Championship 2019.
The match is scheduled to be held at Chonburi Stadium in Thailand at 7:00pm (Thailand local time).
Two of the eight teams participating in this tournament will go through to the U-17 Women’s World Cup, to be held in India in 2020.
The teams are divided into two groups.
Bangladesh are pooled in Group A, where they will play against the home side, Japan and Australia.
In Group B, North Korea, South Korea, China and Vietnam will play each other for the top spot.
Bangladesh are participating in this tournament for the second consecutive time.
Bangladesh girls will face Japan in their second match on September 18 and Australia in their last match on September 21.
