Bangladesh may cancel its Pakistan tour to play an ODI and Test match in April due to coronavirus.
Bangladesh already traveled to Pakistan for playing three T20Is at the end of January and a Test in February. There is a schedule to play an ODI and Test match in April.
However, schools in Sindh have been directed to remain closed till March 13 to ensure that “the isolation period of the suspected cases could be completed”.
The Sindh government's decision to shut down educational institutes was aimed at preventing the coronavirus from spreading in the city.
Pakistan has so far confirmed five cases of coronavirus, three of them involving people who had travelled to neighbouring Iran.
Bangladesh Cricket Board’s media committee chairman Jalal Yunus said “Security is the first issue for our players. We will not consider the issue. We will talk to Pakistan Cricket Board. If we think it is risky, we will not send out team. Though, we have enough time to take a decision in this regard.”
There is a schedule that Bangladesh will play an ODI against Pakistan April 3, and the Test match will begin April 5.
