Bangladesh reports 2,686 new Covid-19 cases, 30 deaths

A total of 30 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 2,305 in the country.

Besides, a total of 2,686 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 1,81,129.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Saturday (July 11).

As many as 1,628 patients have recovered in past 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 88,034, she said.

“We've carried out tests on 11,193 samples collected from across the country and 2,686 more persons have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 1,81,129,” Dr Nasima Sultana said.

We’ve so far carried out tests on 9,29,465 samples collected from across the country, she added.
