Bangladesh surpasses Germany in number of corona infection

Bangladesh’s tally of confirmed Covid-19 cases has surpassed Germany, reaching 204,525 on Sunday, according to worldometer.

A total of 2,459 new cases were confirmed in last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Besides, a total of 37 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 2,618 in the country, DGHS says.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,25,072 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Germany so far. Since June 19, the number of daily infection in the country is under 600.

Although the number of victims is higher in Bangladesh than that of Germany, the death toll is comparatively less here. However, Germany is ahead in case of recovery.

A total of 1,87,800 people have recovered from coronavirus in the country so far. In comparison, a total of 1,11,642 people have recovered in Bangladesh.
