Bangladesh to overtake Malaysia, Singapore by 2024

Mentioning a report of UK-based Centre for Economics and Business Research, finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said, Bangladesh will overtake Malaysia, Singapore by 2024.

The minister made the opinion while addressing a program organized by Development Journalist Forum of Bangladesh (DJFB) at NEC conference room in the planning ministry in capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Sunday afternoon.

He said, “I believe the dream of 2030 will become fruitful under leadership of Prime Minister and we will be able to fulfil the dream of 2041 also. Bangladesh will be hunger and poverty free by 2030.”

About DJFB the finance minister said, “We hope that the organization should will run beautifully.”

DJFB president F H M Humayun Kabir presided over the program where general secretary Arifur Rahman gave introductory speech.

Planning ministry secretary Nurul Amin, general finance division member (senior secretary Dr Shamsul Alam and others attended the function.
