Bangladeshi by birth to be received in country: Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, MP, said, Bangladeshis by birth will be received here from India.

The minister said this while addressing reporters after an inaugural program of newly launched public transport service at Sylhet City Corporation on Wednesday afternoon.

In reply to a question, he said, if any Bangladesh citizens return from India due to India’s (Citizenship Amendment Act) then they will be accepted otherwise they will be sent back.  

The minister said, launching city express is a big achievement. The visitors in Sylhet will get facilities following it. We want a traffic jam free, drugs free, terrorist free Sylhet city.

Meanwhile, he seeks assistance of all to build a beautiful Sylhet city.

Sylhet city corporation panel mayor and council Tawfik Baks Lipon, Sylhet Chamber of commerce and industries president Abu Taher Mohammed Shoeb, Nitol Motors Bus Division Product president Md Jafar and others attended the function.
