BB extends bank transaction hour from May 10

The Bangladesh Bank (BB) changed the schedule extending the bank transaction hours by half an hour from May 10 during the government-announced general holidays to help contain coronavirus transmission.

As per the revised schedule of bank transaction hours, the banks’ customers would be able to get services from 10:00am to 2:30pm during the holidays.

Accordingly, the office hours for the banks employees were extended to 3:30pm during the general holidays.

An order signed by Aminur Rahman Chowdhury, deputy director general of department of off-site supervision of the central bank, has been issued in this regard on Tuesday (May 5).

The central bank revised the bank transaction hours and the office hours as the government extended the holidays by another ten days to contain the spread of coronavirus epidemic.
