Bhola incident a deep conspiracy against state: HC

The High Court (HC) has observed Bhola incident that left four killed and many others injured a deep conspiracy against the state.

The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader came up with the observation following a petition in this regard on Monday.

Lawyer Roniul Islam produced reports of the incident published on different newspapers before the court. He said, “Casualties were happened by police firing. So, there is possibility of affecting the probe if police investigate the incident.”

He sought suo moto rule with directives of forming a judicial probe body to investigate into the incident.

Then, the court replied that the government is monitoring and investigating the incident. We do not want to interfere in the incident at this moment. We will take initiative if law enforcement agencies fail to investigate.

The court also expressed hope that police investigation will uncover real mystery behind the incident.

At least four people were killed and more than hundred others injured in a clash between police and a mob in Bhola over a hate conversation spread through the Facebook messenger.
