Boat capsizes in Bogura: 2 bodies recovered

Bogura Correspondent: Bodies of two women have been recovered while three other persons are still missing after a boat capsized in Jamuna River in Bogura.

The deceased were identified as Jahura Begum, 30, wife of Yusuf Ali, hailed from Karlakandi village in Madarganj upazila of Jamalpur, and Amena Begum, 55, wife of Manser Ali, hailed from Manikdair village of Sariakandi upazila in Bogura.

Police sources said that a boat carrying 40 people capsized in the Jamuna River in Sariakandi upazila around 12:30pm on Tuesday.

Sub-inspector (SI) Subrata Kumar Ghosh of Sariakandi police station said search operation is underway to find the missing people.
