Businessman beaten to death in Kushtia

A businessman has been beaten to death in Khadimpur area of Bahalbaria union under Mirpur upazila in Kushtia.

The deceased was identified as Manik Sardar.

Masum Sardar, 23, son of the victim said, the businessman went to Rizek Mridha of Farakpur area on November 29 to get his loan money. But, he was beaten indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured. Later, locals sent him to hospital where he died under treatment on Friday morning.

Confirming the matter, Mirpur police station officer-in-charge said, the body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
