By-polls on due date: EC

The Election Commission (EC) has decided to hold by-polls of Dhaka-10, Bagerhat-4 and Gaibandha-3 on due time fixed earlier.

The by-elections (Dhaka-10, Bagerhat-4 and Gaibandha-3) are scheduled to be held on March 21 simultaneously.

Besides, elections to Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) and by-polls to Bogura-1 and Jashore-6 are scheduled to be held on March 29.

EC senior secretary Md Alamgir told this to reporters at media centre of Nirbachan Bhaban at the capital’s Agargaon on Thursday.

He said, “The by-polls will be held on due date. Hand sanitizer will be kept at every polling station on the voting day. Voters will use it.”
