CTTC urges to be alert in publishing news on terrorism

Counter terrorism and Transnational Crimes (CTTC) unit of police has urged media to be alert in publishing news over terrorism and militancy.

CTTC chief Monirul Islam said, “Militancy and terrorism is considered as one of the internal problems in most of the countries. Bangladesh, however, is overcoming the problem. So, media should be alert to publish news over the issue.”

Monirul Islam came up with the urge after attending a programme in the capital on Saturday.

He said, “Bangladesh developed in Global Terrorism Index (GTI). Bangladesh is currently at the 31st position the index, declining 6 spots.”
