Cabinet approves hajj package

The cabinet has approved the draft of ‘Hajj Package-2020’ raising the cost of performing pilgrimage under the government arrangement.

The approval came at the regular weekly meeting of the cabinet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister's Office Monday.

Cabinet secretary Khandakar Anwarul Islam briefed reporters after the meeting.

He said, the cost for Hajj package-1 has been set at Tk4,25,000, package-2 at Tk3,60,000 and package-3,15,000 this year.

Last year, the cost of package-1 was Tk4,18,500 and of package-2 was Tk3,44,000.
