Car free street to be launched at Uttara

A portion of Sonargaon Janapath road in capital’s Uttara will be announced as car free street on Friday. 

The road (2/A street of Uttara-sector 11) will remain car-free every Friday from 8:00am to 11:00am.

According to the announcement from the city corporation, various kinds of activities including walking, cycling, skating, flying kites, dancing, drawing, gossiping, reading books can be done in the road with participation of locals.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Chief Public Relations Officer ASM Mamun confirmed the matter.
