Case filed against Nur, 28 others

An 'attempt to murder' case has been filed against vice president of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur and some 28 other persons with Shahbag Police Station.  

DM Sabbir Hossain, a student of Shaheed Sergeant Jahurul Haq Hall of Dhaka University filed the case on Wednesday.

The case was sent to the court on Thursday. Later, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mandal accepted the case. The court asked Shahbagh police station inspector (probe) Arifur Rahman to submit report on February 5 after investigation.

Accused in the case are - General Student Rights Protection Council convenor Hasan Al Mamun, Joint convener Faruk Hossain, Muhammad Rashed Khan, Mashiur Rahman, Abu Hanif, APM Suhel, Aminul Islam, Tuhin Farabi (Chartered University College), Mehedi Hasan, Saleh Uddin Sifat (DU Jashim Uddin Hall), Nazmul Hasan, Ayatullah Behesti, Rabiul Hossain, Arifur Rahman, Saiful Islam, Arifur Rahman, Bin Yeamin Mollah (DU AF Rahman Hall), Tarikul Islam (AF Rahman Hall), Abdullah Hil Baki (Mohsin Hall), Akram Hossain (AF Rahman Hall), Asif Khan (Bijoy Ekattor Hall), Sanaullah Haque (Zia Hall), Ataullah (Shahidullah Hall), Shakil Mia (Mohsin Hall), Hasanul Banna (Bijoy Ekattor Hall), Rabirul Islam, Raz, Ariful Islam and 15-20 others.
