Child gets bail in human trafficking case

The High Court (HC) has granted an eight-week bail to 12-year-old boy Alauddin of Cox’s Bazar in a human trafficking case.

A High Court bench of Justice Obaidul Hasan and Justice AKM Jahirul Haq granted the bail on Monday.

The case was filed in 2018 when the child was 22-year-old. Advocate Akhter Bulbul stood for the child while Deputy Attorney General Md Sarwar Hossain Bappy represented the government.
