China gives 500 kits to Bangladesh

China is providing 500 kits to Bangladesh to identify COVID-19, an official name of coronavirus. On the other hand, Bangladesh is giving masks and gloves to China to extend its support to the country.

The information came at a press conference held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and Chinese Ambassador Li Jiming spoke at the press conference.

Chinese Ambassador Li Jiming told the press conference that China is providing 500 kits to Bangladesh so that the country can identify COVID-19 through these kits. The kits are expected to arrive in Dhaka within next two days.

Foreign Minister Momen said China has been very helpful to Bangladesh throughout the process and recalled Chinese government’s support in bringing back 312 Bangladesh nationals from Wuhan city, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.
