Coach Ashiq to go on live from Risingbd FB page tonight

Cricket coach Ashiqur Rahman Majumder, who first tasted positive for coronavirus or Covid-19 in the sports arena of the country, was admitted to Mugda General Hospital on May 12. He got recovered from the deadly coronavirus after fighting with the virus for about 17 days.

Ashiq will join a programme named 'Risingbd Special' tonight and share his story about how he got rid of the deadly virus.

The cricket coach will go on live from the Facebook page of popular online news portal Risingbd at 10 pm on Saturday (June 20).

Ashiq, who played in the 2002 Youth World Cup, has played 15 first-class matches. He also played 18 List A matches.

The right-arm pacer took 36 wickets playing Test matches and 21 wickets playing ODI matches. Due to injury, he could not make long career in the cricket. After leaving the game, he paid his full attention to establish a coaching career.
