Cold wave grips Dhaka

A sudden drop in temperature due to cloudy sky and dense fog has led the city dwellers reach for winter cloths. Although cold waves are sweeping over the northwestern part of the country but the temperature in Dhaka has dropped rapidly.   

Met Office weather bulletin said today, Weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky over the country which would be valid for the next 24hrs commencing from 9am.
 
Meteorologist Arif Hossain told risingbd that shivering cold can be felt in 18 degree Celsius temperature while 9-10 degree Celsius temperature doesn’t create any winter impact among people. Basically the difference between lowest and highest temperatures increase the feelings of cold.

The highest lowest temperature on Friday was recorded at 8.4 degree Celsius in Chuadanga while the temperature in Dhaka was 13.4 degree Celsius.
